“Rosa’s Path,” discussion and signing with local author and educator Barbara Connery, Thursday, March 26, 6:30 PM

Join author, educator and researcher Barbara Connery for discussion and signing of her new book Rosa’s Path, a sequel to Rosa’s Voice, Morris Public Library, on Thursday, March 26, at 6:30 PM.

After a summer of travel, camp and roller coasters, Rosa, Jake and Chase are heading to the Middle School. They spend the last week of summer vacation reading about world leaders including Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln and John Lewis.
Sitting around their dining room tables, the three friends spend quality time with their parents, discussing what leadership is. Rosa, Jake and Chase plan their own paths to a new life of discipline, preparation and commitment.
Rosa’s Path is Barbara’s third book. Her first book, Just Like Me, focuses on the positive aspects of a bright, inquisitive child with dyslexia. Her second book, Rosa’s Voice, introduced Rosa and her friends to the art of oratory. These three inquisitive friends and their parents return in Rosa’s Path. Hopefully, this story will inspire readers to study history, respect their parents, and embrace a life of service.
Barbara has been teaching and coaching teachers for over forty years. Being a Ford’s Theatre National Oratory Fellow is one of the highlights of her career. For five years, Barbara has brought students to Washington, D.C. to recite their original speeches in front of the Lincoln Memorial and on the stage of Ford’s Theatre.
