researchIT CT offers free online resources as a service of the CT State Library.  Here you will find journal, magazine, and newspaper articles for Connecticut public, K-12, and academic libraries and their users. There is also a collection of downloadable eAudios and eBooks for Connecticut residents with valid CT public library card numbers.

MORRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY ADDS FILM STREAMING SERVICE, KANOPY

With Kanopy, Morris Public Library Patrons Will Have Access to more than 30,000 Films, For FREE

The popular on-demand film streaming service Kanopy is now available for free at the Morris Public Library. Library card holders can access Kanopy and sign up to start streaming films on instantly by visiting https://morrispubliclibrary.kanopy.com

Films can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device or platform by downloading the Kanopy app for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast or Roku.

Offering what the New York Times calls “a garden of cinematic delights,” Kanopy showcases more than 30,000 of the world’s best films, including award-winning documentaries, rare and hard-to-find titles, film festival favorites, indie and classic films, and world cinema with collections from Kino Lorber, Music Box Films, Samuel Goldwyn, The Orchard, The Great Courses, PBS and thousands of independent filmmakers.

Featuring a subdivision Kanopy Kids, the service gives access to a collection of high quality children’s programs to help young viewers develop empathy, mindfulness and critical thinking.

The Palace Project Library’s NEW EBook and Audiobook App

The Morris Public Library Introduces The Palace Project: A New eReading App Simplifying eBook and Audiobook Lending for Patrons in partnership with Connecticut State Library, LYRASIS and Digital Public Library of America.

The Palace Project app (“Palace”) makes accessing the library’s ebook and audiobook collections easier than ever and brings them all into one simple app, where users can search and browse, check out items, and read, in just a few taps. The Palace app is available now to all Morris Public Library patrons at morrispubliclibrary.net or at your mobile device app store for FREE.

Collections included in the Palace app: the Connecticut State Library Palace Marketplace collection, the Palace Bookshelf of open materials, the Connecticut State Library BiblioBoard collection, and the Connecticut State Library Baker & Taylor Axis360 collection.
