Half Day Fun with Morris Beach and Rec and the Morris Public Library, November 4, 5, 6, 12:45 – 2:15
We are thrilled to collaborate with the Morris Beach and Recreation to bring our Morris / JMS Community this programming opportunity once again…1/2 Day Fun!
During the scheduled half days in November (Wednesday the 4th, Thursday the 5th, Friday the 6th), you’ll find a program offering that begins at 12:45 pm. All three programs are free of charge to Morris residents and the James Morris School Community.
The programming generally is open to students in grades K – 5 with limited spots available for each session. Advance registration is required.
Registration for 1/2 Day Fun can be made by emailing Morris Beach & Recreation (Activities@morrisct.gov). Register for one of the programs or all three! It’s completely up to you!
All programs will be held at Community Hall. Students will be picked up at James Morris School by Beach and Recreation and / or Library staff and escorted across the street to Community Hall (Morris Town Hall). We’ll enjoy a drink and a snack along with that day’s scheduled program.
Parents may pick up their child directly from Community Hall promptly at 2:15 pm.
All programming is offered free of charge!

“Sport – Stacking!”
Sport stacking (also called cup stacking or speed stacking) is an individual and team sport where players rapidly stack and unstack 12 specially designed plastic cups in specific predetermined sequences. We’ll learn all about it and have a great time doing so!
*This program is geared towards students in grades 2 – 5.

“Lego Fun!”
Participants will have the opportunity to build their very own Lego kit to take home. We will also have time to free style a Lego creation. It’s a Lego filled afternoon!
*This program is open to all students in grades K – 5.

Friday, November 6 – 12:45 pm-2:15 pm
“The Rabbit and the Moon!”
A puppet workshop and stories with Adelka Polak of Sova Dance & Puppet Theater. Participants will be able to take home their very own puppet that they make for themselves after the storytelling in order to continue the joy of this journey at home.
*This program is open to all students in grades K – 5.
